F: Player Field. Number of entrants per
event There are two prime factors of the ranking system 1) Rank placed per tournament 2) Player field. * Winnings are still shown and will be sorted however they are not taken part of the tournament rank and field points in to the overall leader board. We belief by doing this method that a single monster money winner will not dominate the charts forever. The goal is competition of rank and field points per player regardless of the prize pool and buy-in amount. Since card room or league equations vary room to room for making their own leader board determinations we issue our own points to players keeping them on the same point structure. Note: Default page is set to column Rank which is based on Overall Points. Not Winnings. Explanation of leader board column headers: click to sort 1) Rank - A players point rank in overall statistics and in overall by poker room / league. Rank (R) is based on points earned. 2) Screenname - Poker room account screenname or real name from live events. 3) PokerRoom (network) / Local League - Name and link of the room / league a player represents. 4) Latest pts. Earned - Most recent points reported from last event played. Only displays current month. If blank, means no points reported for the current month 5) Overall Points - All time season points. Jan 1st - Dec.31st. 6) Winnings - All time season winnings. Breakdown of earnings and events in pop up window. 7) Rank Gain + / - Loss (Position Trends) - A numeric graph of players fluctuation of overall rank from last points reported in comparison with other players overall standings. If a players falls in to a negative numeral then the player was out weighed with points from their rivals. If a player is not reported the trend is blank until the following month reported again. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- There have been many questions about a point structure for us to use
with all levels of stake being reported this we thought would be the
best for all.
1) Should a player stay at the top of the charts over a single monster
cash win (like the wsop)? These are only a few red flag questions being raised by the poker community regarding tournament play. Poker On Tour is NOT out to set a global standard. We just aim to help set a global point standard.
